Applications
The Office of Virginia Status Student Status will contact an applicant directly if additional information or documentation is needed after submission of an application. Do not submit supporting documentation unless specifically requested to do so. After submitting your application you may check your status online. Current students may check their eligibility status in their Student Information System (SIS) account. Applicants not yet enrolled may check their eligibility status on their Application portal or SLATE account. If you are applying to a professional program that does not use SLATE, please contact the particular school for an update regarding eligibility.
Please wait at least seven business days after submission to contact the Office of Virginia Status directly if you do not see an update to either the SIS or SLATE account.
Current students are responsible for checking their status with this office or on their Student Information Account or Student Financial Account. Applicants are responsible for checking their application portal to see their status. Due to the volume of applications, the Office of Virginia Status cannot email status determinations.
